It seems that Square Enix is not resting on his laurels with the kingdom of the franchise. The last entrance of the franchise has just appeared, after a very long wait, but it seems that the label is already working at the next iteration.
As noted today, the publisher division in Osaka has published new job offers in which it mentions user interface designer positions, effects designers and technical artists. These are specifically sought for the “HD development of kingdom_cores.”
As noted previously, the last entry in the franchise is Kingdom Hearts III, which came out on PlayStation 4 and for the first time on Xbox One last January. Its development still needs to be completed as DLC “rapeler” arrives this winter.
Of course, a new version of the series has not yet been announced but, even if kingdom hearts III in conclusion, it seems that there is a chance to keep working in the coming years, perhaps even under a new direction.
Of course, it’s a good news that Square Enix is still interested in franchise and it’s not as if it ended with the third chapter. We had very little doubts about it because it sells a lot, but with very rooted franchises in history and all that is never acquired.
